Sounds like it was a wonderful wedding. Glad it went as planned.

That’s a lovely idea with the cards and something I’m sure they’ll treasure in years to come.

Well done on setting everything up on your new WiFi.

The wedding sounds like a perfect day. How lovely to have the family together, and I'm sure there will be photos soon too.

I really like the idea of the perennial Christmas cards. I doubt they'll be thrown out. More likely they will be treasured keepsakes and the recipients will get them out each Christmas and smile at the memories.

  • A wonderful and inspirational thread. So pleased all the arrangements went well.
  • It’s lovely to hear that the wedding was so enjoyable for you all 😊 You sound well organised for Christmas too!
I made Nancy’s shortbread and it was delicious. It browned a little inside so I will reduce the microwave power down to 700 and try that next time. I channeled my inner Nancy by grinding the rice and the sugar in a blender to make the ground rice and caster sugar.
I hope you got on okay out in the snow.

Would someone mind posting the shortbread recipes please?  Would love to make some for Christmas as don't eat it any other time so would save a few pennies!  Thank you.
