Reading this thread, I realised I had a Barclays everyday saver I wanted to close, but hadn't got round to it. Just logged on to online banking (feature not available in app) and closed it in minutes. Thanks for the nudge.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1

It would also appear that you can close a TSB current account using the chat bot too.
It warns you to first download any documents you may need, so I bailed out early (as I will go and save last statements) but it was looking promising.
Anyone successfully closed a CA using this method? How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Thanks to this thread, I managed to close my easy saver.
Whilst at it, I realised it's easy to close all those pesky "savings pots" , too
No chat needed - just click the menu thing at top right after opening up the savings pot and it gives you an option to close
But then I wondered if it may be a condition of the £5 cashback to keep the savings pot open?
It'd be good to be reassured by someone who knows

I will switch the other 2 accounts away but I would like everything closed down so that non of my details remain.

Both hubby and I have now asked for our sole classic plus accounts to be closed using the app.
We still have a joint account, which we'll keep as an emergency spare with say £100 in it.
thanks again for the info about app closures. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1
