I make no apology, as someone who has suffered a suicide (fuelled by debt and other factors) in our wider family group, for saying that the words about ATTEMPTED SUICIDE were enough to bring me to tears.
So would you, if you'd walked in my shoes.
You need to understand that people's experiences shape their lives.
You are completely missing the point about these horrific unregulated 'PCN debt' companies and no, I don't feel sorry for their truly nasty staff for one single minute and yes, I have worked in a bank and a building society in previous jobs - call centre head offices - dealing with actual debtors for over a decade.
These victims are not actual debtors.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The call centres that Sandtree is referring to are dealing with actual debts where mitigating circumstances are given as a reason for non payment.
Mitigating circumstances in the case of parking claims relate to the alleged parking transgression. Someone may be ill and have to pull over etc. One driver actually died whilst they were out and therefore overstayed and a ticket was issued. The PPC chased the estate of the deceased for payment. How crass is that?
A motorist in receipt of a PCN does not consider that they owe money to the PPC. The worst scenario's in my opinion are the claims generated from car parks on residential property. These are people who have a designated parking space in their lease and have to deal with this sort of hassle on a regular basis.
Someone who has borrowed money knows that they have a debt but may have not the means to pay back because their circumstances have changed or they cannot live within their means. Lending people more than they can afford is irresponsible lending.
