I'm not sure its going to make any difference but I've sent an email to Facebook@santander.co.uk.

So did I this morning but same response - have to wait for a new letter to be issued.0

I finally spoke to someone that was a bit more helpful.
It turns out that it's a miscalculation error. I was told that either you will get less, get more or you shouldn't have received the letter at all.
I have rechecked my letter and I can see they have miscalculated the 8% interest but either figure could be wrong.
Apparently, the recalculations have been done and vetted. Letters are going out this week.
They wouldn't say if I was one of the ones not getting it at all.Treat others how you would like to be treated. 🤞1 -

Im in the same boat. Letter issued 25th June stating a refund due of £10k. I called today as it has been 10 working days to be told that the letters were sent in error and new ones are being sent out. I am really panicking as I could really use the money. How can they do this?!! Has anyone had a new letter yet?0

Because they need to correct errors before making payment. It's far easier for everyone than having to claw back payments and redistribute.nufc87kaz said:How can they do this?!!0 -
Panicking because you potentially didn't get some money you didn't have in the first place and thus would be an unexpected bonus is a hiding to stress for nothing really. See if you get something, or not, don't spend it until it's in your bank and confirmed in writing.nufc87kaz said:Im in the same boat. Letter issued 25th June stating a refund due of £10k. It WAS in writing - that is the issue! and for the bank to simply say ‘ooops’ is totally irresponsible and insulting to people, many of whom have been through a very tough 18 months. The bank has got it very wrong here and needs to apologise and make amends for the ‘distress and inconvenience’ it has caused - this is an FCA term2

I said "cash in the bank and in writing"STG1972 said:It WAS in writing - that is the issue! and for the bank to simply say ‘ooops’ is totally irresponsible and insulting to people, many of whom have been through a very tough 18 months. It's not insulting, they made a mistake and by FCA rules have to correct the mistake. They can certainly apologise, but if by "make amends" you mean "pay you the 10k they said in error" then no, they don't have to do that, more likely a sum of apology in the region of £100-250 if you were not entitled to the refund.
Remember, NOSIA errors are simply a mistake by the bank where they technically weren't allowed to charge you for something, not that you didn't owe the money you borrowed3
