I bought a diesel car in 2010 and frankly I think what turned so many people to diesel was the cost and fuel economy advantages over petrol which lasted for many years. I don't think many were convinced to buy because of emissions and in my opinion it is all litigious horsefeathers, promoted for greed.
I switched to diesel in 1996 because it was cheaper and I moved companies - 60 miles a day from 6 - I switched back 8 years ago.Never once have I considered saving the planet in my choice of car just saving money. I might like a Rolls but cannot afford the running costs - we have now switched to a small MPV because getting in and out was easier with our *age trelated* mobility issues.

I have yet to find anyone who bought a car based on emmissions and saving the planet - lets face it most of us will not be around to see if it has actually worked. The few I know who are making claims simply see it as a way of making money - very much like the PPI thing - I know a lot of people who claimed on that even though they admit actually bought into it for peace of mind. In my case I lost my job near the end of the loan and I got all my money back when it paid out.

  • So apparently Milberg have settled with VW But the Compensation comes from a firm called Shieldpay .
You have to almost let them into your Bank account ! Has anyone else had this request Or is it a Scam ?
  • Hi guys,

Does anyone know if I can still join a Mercedes emissions claim? I'm seeing sites that don't look very legit, and the first ones that come up don't accept new sign ups. I tried to research to see when the deadline is/was, but I can't find anything?

  • Hi probably a stupid question but is any legal firms dealing with Mazda ?
    Thanks in advance
and sorry if I’ve missed a post on this
  • I bought a diesel Skoda affected by the scandal. I didn't buy it because of any deceitful emission claims (scumbags though they were to do it). I got excellent consumption, they modified it to conform and I noticed no difference. It was good value when I bought it new and I have just traded it in, receiving an excellent price for it.

It would be wholly dishonest of me to claim a financial loss - and I won't do it.

Need to look at Talcum Powder - That's the next big claim con following the settlement in the USA Throughout our lives at various times we have used Talcum Powder - if only in out Marigold Gloves. Will be bigger than emissions and all the other misselling tales. Even immigration lawyers are thinking of switching.

I'm amazed that they can prove it was the asbestos in the talcum powder. In the 1950s and 1960s everything contained asbestos, it really was a wonder material.

I still have asbestos laden Marley tiles under the asbestos riddled vinyl "lino" in the kitchen.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

You only need to convince a jury that **IT MIGHT BE** and the USA is the world capital for such things - of course the Lawyers the world over are simply blooking for more ways of making money.

I did not even know that there was Asbestos in it. Friend of mine in the Asbestos Removal business has made a lot of money from removing it when, as he said, there was no need. It only becomes dangerous when disturbed.

What I want to knowe is what will be the next big scare item
