Valli, Fayolle I would happily swop with you for a week in UK.
Hugs and coping vibes to Kaz and all of you who are having a hard time of it at the moment
Been to work today, enjoyed teaching directions to beginners! Good job I knew where the post office was.
I know what's for dinner, kitchen is tidy, will unload DW whilst I wait for the kettle to boil. I NEED tea.
YL I can't get my printer to work anymore either, can't connect it wifi anymore.

Flylady love is an amazing thing, we are so lucky.
Just back from a lovely lunch and an amble around a couple of small independent shops in small town with DD. Hard earned cash was spent but actually, it’s being with her and doing things together that matter now. I do have to remind myself of that when I start twitching about spending, but honestly, as long as I have earned it into the bank, nothing else is more important now. The compromise is that we now have lentil bolognaise for dinner, which is fine by me, and DH never really moans as long as I have cooked rather than him.Flying achieved - bathroom and ensuite cleaned, upstairs dusted and vacc’d, fridge / freezer sorted / rammed, 2 loads of washing dine and on the line outside, ironing pile cleared for the moment. I might go and spend an hour wandering round the garden while no one notices.9 -
Lots of gibble tidied away, laundry folded and put away, easy supper agreed with Belovéd, kitchen given a proper drubbing and the penultimate musty blanket is now getting its first wash with vinegar. I've got to trundle the dog and that's as much as I can manage, I think.
Better is good enough.9 -
Fayolle I agree just spending time together is good, even if we are doing nothing in particular.Who ever said it is too hot to walk the dog, needs to come over here, it has been fine drizzle all day, and it shows no signs of going.A lot of tennis has been watched this afternoonBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Went to see my friends and do a couple of errands...as I was near Mr m and i wanted lime cordial I popped in. Got some YS bargains inc 2 punnets of apricots (all the apricots had a use by date of today, but only two bore the coveted yellow sticker) so I bought them. Don't have a recipe for apricot jam (well not that I could find) but I figured they'd jam like plums. I now have four jars of golden deliciousness, including one jar which is destined to be racked up with 2 other jars and turned into a christmas gift. Many thanks to Honey Bear for the inspiration.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I cleaned all the sinks in the house, did another work shift and then went to council meeting. It was me who said it was to hot to walk the dogs, I even put a fan on for them. They finally got a walk half an hour ago.Spend less now, work less later.7

Lots of positive posts today, so I'll try to stick to the theme!
Yes, breakfast appeared well before 10.30
I went out for coffee with a friend from church who I haven't seen (except on group Zoom) for nearly a year, and we ended up having lunch as well
On the Flying front, I managed to file a few papers
After yesterday's unhelpful experience at the bank, their telephone helplines proved far more use, and that problem is now resolving (and it "only" took an hour out of my afternoon)
Rosie and I enjoyed a walk over the fields - the council now only cuts a path round the perimeters, so they have become wildflower meadows
DH went out to play war games this evening, so I had the TV to myself and just chilled
Hope the WAC stays empty tonight x10 -
Morning all
Not sure if I qualify for the WAC or if it is officially morning now, but I am up and about. DS2 is finally returned to the big city, his student house is smaller than I expected for six of them, and his room is smaller than last year. It's not the most attractive area anyway and the whole street was strewn with rubbish from students moving out, so DH and I had to fix cheery smiles on our faces and afterwards agreed that we wouldnt live there if someone paid us, but then we are old country dwellers not young students.
DS1 turned up before we left yesterday and gave DS2 £10 to get himself some moving in beers. He is so kind hearted.
Need to finish off the paid stuff this morning, go to the library and then post office to return a parcel, then sort out some camping stuff for our trip away, the dog needs taking to my parents for his holidays, and I need to get a few bits and pieces from the shops (need to make a list).
Must do a little exercise before all of that, I know it will do me good this morning.10 -
Morning all. Got a bit of a headache this morning but parrots were taken about an hour ago so will hopefully do the trick.
Work shift soon and more council work today. Will see what flying I can manage.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
