Natty fingers crossed for a negative result 🤞 I hope you feel better soon
Fayolle Lol! As tempting as it is sometimes, it was an empty buggy! In fact, both buggies are in the cupboard and 3 car seats are in the summerhouse.
YL I hope you have a relaxing break, and I hope the weather holds up! (for both of us!!)
I have been crocheting this evening as I need to finish a basket for DD1 to give her when we visit on Monday.
Flying - washing off the line, folded & deposited on DD2's bed to put away.
I sort of suggested to DS that we go for a run in the morning - I think he actually wants to go so I may have to do it!! 😱🤣

Natty68 said:And guess what? I've had to do a Covid test. So that went in the post this morning. Hoping it's negative but my SW consultant won't let me at the next meeting till I've got a negative result, and 111 advised to get the Covid test. Wouldn't care but I'm double vaccinated and really haven't been anywhere apart from SW.
Hopefully it will be negative.. it's very tedious now having to stay home I'm sure. The jab doesn't stop you becoming infected with the virus, it just means you may have less serious symptoms.. and reduce the risk of needing hospital care when you do become infected and (allegedly) shed fewer viral particles from your own infection. It is a common misconception that vaccines prevent you from catching diseases in the first place, no vaccine does that, they train your immune system to spot and kill the infections before they make you too sick if you are lucky, and none is 100% efficient.. Either way.. I hope you feel yourself again super quick and are back at SW very soon.
Tesco trip done..we have food for a few days hopefully.
Cat food on its way
Boog hung out her own washing..
school stuff in the WM ready to go in morning.. Sports week next week.. and parents are not invited.. I don't have to go watch them have meltdowns and I don't need to have guilt
And OH bought Twinkle her next 2 pairs of shoes.. they were less than half price and it would have been rude not too.. cheaper than supermarket ones! I swear I only ever paid full price for 2 pairs of her shoes
It is OH's birthday a week on Monday... what do I get him? He doesn't NEED anything.. but it is his 40th.. so I feel I should get him something.

Morning all. Hope your test comes back negative Natty, and enjoy your break YSL.
It is raining here which stops planned gardening and sport today but I'm still going to one outdoor event to support a friend setting up a new business. I'll just take my brolly.
I lost a panty liner yesterday, discovered it wasn't there at bedtime. Am hoping it didn't come out while I was out walking or at the local shop. I was wearing a dress yesterday.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -

Good morning!
I have been awake for an hour, waiting to see if DS wants to run. He has just come in & said he has been awake 3 hours! 🤦♀️ I am hungry now, so we aren't going 😂
I have made a list - I will attempt to go to the allotment, weather permitting. Failing that, I have plenty to do I doors too.
Valli Don't panic - we don't leave until Monday! 😂
Just questioning how I have managed to wake up at all today 🤔 Grumpy dog is emitting the most awful smells (he has been since yesterday) 🤢
Have a good day everyone!9 -
Morning all!
Yesterday turned into a rest day for me. I was totally shattered, but managed to catch up with some sleep and slept better last night.
So far I have
- persuaded DH that I need breakfast earlier than 9.15, so he had it ready by 8.30
- S&S'd kitchen
- taken fish pie for tea out of the freezer (cf. Valli's mantra)
- dealt with DH's stocking
- put a smallish load of yesterday's washing in the TD as it is raining steadily here
- tidied the utility in general and the washing powder cupboard in particular
- emptied a zipped bag that I used to take to SW, which had been hidden round the corner of the kitchen bookshelves; thrown away most of the OOD contents and left anything belonging to DH for him to deal with; put said bag in the WM, and if it doesn't fall apart it will become my Treasurer's bag
- decluttered 3 recipe books to the CS pile
Other plans include
- emails and phonecalls
- update church accounts
- filing - yes, there's more!
- Rosie's walk between the showers - thunderstorms are forecast later
- and anything else that comes up!
Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

Morning all,
I got up a bit later, it being Saturday and all that. Still feel exhausted but as much exhausted with life as anything else.Have kicked myself into gear - only 1st gear, but better than nothing. DW emptied, other bits WUDUPA, wm x 1 run, DD driven to work.I need to change DD’s bedding whilst she is out, and fling that into the wm as well. The ironing pile is still glaring at me. As is the pile of paperwork. DH has gone to the allotment to wreak more havoc help out.
Fingers crossed you get a negative test, Natty.YL - enjoy your break, fully deserved. I still can’t get jealous about camping though - I am a wimp!
GI - good choice - breakfast beats running for me every time. It wasn’t always so, but definitely is now!
Have a lovely day all. Waiting for y’all to send the thunderstorms my way…9 -
Morning xx
I lost my post so I made another brew and some toast before switching on the lappy to try again....
The specialist says that there is a blood clot in my eye that will take months too break down and disperse. No new tears, go back in three months. Unless I see flashing lights or a curtain comes down over my eye - then it's straight to A&E. It seems that when you ask a specialist a question they look at you as though you are emitting the same smell as GI's dog. How very dare I ask about my own eye? So I'll keep on keeping on - presumable the eye aches and tiredness are all part of the healing process. And who knows what Boris's leg is? I did ask....he just looked at me gone out (as we say round here).
Work was manic yesterday. We have had two quiet weeks and yesterday the dam burst and we received two week's worth of calls in one day. It certainly made the time pass quickly - and I arrived home (via the hairdresser's and the chippy) to find a letter from the CEO giving me* an extra day off for working through the pandemic, which was a nice surprise. (*Not just me obvs). I really need / want to get back on the flylady path. I seem to have meandered back down work, eat, sleep, repeat lane and, boy, can you tell! Ooops.
I have ordered my repeat prescription. The only other 'must do' this weekend is to buy wine and take it, with a card already bought, over to H, who will be 60 tomorrow.
I'm going to have a shower and wash my hair; once dressed I'll feed the birds and put out the rubbish and recycling. Then prepare a shopping list.
Have a good weekend.

Everybody has got a third (roughly) of the personal comment done. On a similar them for each child but worded differently. Good job I have a mind like a thesaurus. Optimistically pegged out washing; light shower, it's back in.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
