@Hazelnutty I feel your pain 😫 I fell on the stairs carrying the hoover and broke my coccyx landing on the edge of a step 🤦♀️ I wonder how high on the list of accidents falling on the stairs comes. Hope your pain eases soon

@Skint_yet_Again Oooh that sounds nasty. Are you OK now? I hear you - funny how once we get to a certain age we 'have a fall' rather than simply 'falling over'! Now it's a few days in, the bruise looks horrific (we've got wooden stairs so nothing to cushion the impact except my sizeable behind!) but the pain has eased, which is the right way round. I hate that when you first have a tumble it hurts like hell but looks like nothing.Choose kind2

I posted a reply to you @Skint_yet_Again but it's vanished
Sorry to hear about your situation and hope the physio comes through soon. I fell downstairs the other day (luckily just badly bruised behind) and lower back/hip pain is the worst, there's no position you can sit, stand or sleep in! The bruising means I'm having to suspend my physio as there's no way I'm letting him dig his elbow into my glutes
Anyway, I really hope you get the support you need.
Bad news on the CC. I didn't realise the new CC company was part of the same banking group as the old CC company - they've refused the BTSo I've had to cancel the new card. I'm guessing I'll have to leave it a month or so so it doesn't look like that line of credit is open on my file?

So payday next Tuesday and only one DD (Save the Arts campaign) to come out. I'm £42 'up' on my current account, so that would normally go into the pot for next month to be allocated but I may just clear the next half-square (£30) off the CC. I still want to BT it but knocking a little chip off the balance is always satisfying.
I must must must get to grips with selling some stuff - I've been putting off tackling the small number of higher-end things I have from a previous, more financiall comfortable life (when double income with XH). It's really stressing me out as so many conflicting reviews of different consignment stores for the handbags. I've tried approaching an auction house for some local historical prints I have to sell but they didn't meet their minimum value (but are enough to try to sell somewhere i.e. £80-150). I also have some old coins and notes inherited from my grandma I could do with moving on - they don't hold any memories and are just in storage in the loft. My job's quite intensive mentally so by the weekend I just put off sorting it out as I feel so tired. Anyway, looks like a quiet weekend so may just tackle them. I also am feeling the decluttering itch as bedroom and office have got a little out of control with bits and bobs everywhere.Choose kind1 -
Why dont you just concentrate on one thing every couple of weeks.

Thanks @beanielou you're right, one bite at a time! And I've taken my first nibble - listing on the Bay of E for the first time in years, just two pen boxes but one is a 'label' so may give me a decent return to squirrel away/clear off the CC. Listing is so different from when I last sold - really simple and most of the fields pre-filled. From all the sotries on the Bay Board, it seems as if it's tilted too far towards buyers, which is why I hadn't taken this step before, but I figure for these smaller items I'm not looking for a massive return so if all goes wrong it won't be too upsetting.
I've decided to keep a list of items decluttered/sold/donated so I can keep track of and celebrate the process. I did an item a day for 3 months challenge earlier this year and ended up shifting over 300 things rather than 90I love decluttering tbh. As an introvert I find life a lot calmer and less stressful if home is relatively uncluttered and spacious. I don't mean neat freak (I'm definitely not that lol) but just in reasonble order and not too crowded. If I can raise some money in the process so much the better. I worked out earlier that if I make a £60 payments off the CC to tidy up underspend and then my regular, newly increased DD on 5th, the outstanding balance will be under £5000
Anyway, OH is really tired so we've got jammies on, cuppas made, watching Endeavour. Whatever you're doing, happy Friday eveningChoose kind2 -
