Few days? You say enquiries haven't been conducted. That takes much longer than a few days. No matter how much you "chase".
I would also presume the solicitors on all sides are prioritising cases that they expect to complete by June 30. I'd be surprised if they even looked at a job that started in May over the next week.

Sorry perhaps my previous post was misleading. All enquiries/searches have been conducted on all properties . Our buyers have had a separate survey which may throw up a few enquiries but we would be surprised as we had all issues addressed prior to marketing. This will be back today.

We’ve accepted it won’t happen by next week but it won’t take much long than that unless we find out the hse is sinki g or something ( who knows 😬🙄)

We missed the Stamp Duty deadline too and we offered at the end of January. Someone higher in the chain still waiting for his mortgage approval.

There is nothing whatsoever here either, however houses are gradually returning to the market. So far I have seen 4, and when I make enquiries with the EA why they're back on the market it is either buyers cannot stump up the mortgage or ''change in circumstances''!

If this is of any help, all the properties that have ''sold'' and you like, bookmark them on Zoopla / Rightmove, and check the listing daily. It is a boring exercise, however that is how I have managed to view properties that previously sold and came back onto the market - usually being the 1st to view them.

So after all the rushing & stressing because the people we are buying from put pressure on us to complete before end of June. It turns out they haven’t even ordered their searches ( inserts many expletives)! This is despite the EA telling us on Monday that they were good to go except for signing paperwork. We think they’ve been struggling to get a mortgage because why else would this be & why lie? We’ve repeatedly been told everything is fine, it’s a vacant property, they’re buying sold as seen etc.
We love the house but have lost trust in their intentions & so have asked to see evidence that searches have been ordered- that ok?
We are also back on online looking at alternatives 😕
