I guess it depends on if they’re using online or bricks and mortar. We’re using online so have to post everything.LookingForLondon said:Why would anybody sign anything before searches and surveys are back? What time would that even save?0 -
Ok. This sounds like a case of you being far too optimistic. Less than 6 weeks would be a very fast sale at the best of times. 3 months is the average time it takes to sell a house without the current SDLT holiday rush (surveyors and solicitors snowed under) and covid related delays.zoemk12 said:

I think unless you’re buying cash and with a very short or no chain, that would be extremely optimistic.zoemk12 said:

I am not surprised you are the only ones pushing to make it happen, end of June was never going to be possible. The rest of the chain will have budgeted for stamp duty.zoemk12 said:

Why did your buyer get their survey done so late in the process? Delays in trying to get someone booked in?Yep! Earliest date they could get, although we managed to get earlier so perhaps they didn’t try as hard…0

Actually it was our sellers pushing us as we didn’t think it would happen but we’ve pushed hard to get things done. The reality is we will miss by a few days. We’ve budgeted too, we have lots of equity but that’s not the point.Scotbot said:

Few days? You say enquiries haven't been conducted. That takes much longer than a few days. No matter how much you "chase".2

To begin with we didn’t think we had any chance but our sellers were pushing us so we moved heaven and earth. The chain is small- FTB buying ours, we’re buyer from ppl going in to a vacant hse sold as seen.davilown said:
