It has the Freeview Play, which I really like and also the UI menu that I prefer compared to the new and lower-cost range of Panasonic TV's
With the small screen, there is no need for higher number of HD pixels.
Of course, I am tainted by being a Panasonic fan. Others may have their own fanbois preferences.1 -
The demise of the japanese tv makers, you will have trouble trying to find a Pani

OP, this is how I bought my last TV (8 years ago):-
- did some research online to find a couple of models that ticked all my boxes - an LG and a Samsung
- went to Currys to have a look at the 2 models I was deciding between,
- back online and found the cheapest place to buy it from.
- bought it from Hughes Direct as I found a £100 off voucher through one of the voucher websites.
Richer Sounds are a good place to buy for the warranty, and the shops are good for getting quality advice.
My current TV is an LG smart TV - the smart function is hardly used now, I wouldn't bother if I was looking now, although don't discount a model if it is smart. My old TV was about a 38 inch screen, and the current one is roughly the same size unit, but is a 42 inch screen as the bevels are much smaller now. It's now 8 years old but still going good, and doesn't look it's age.1 -
32 inch really is a mistake unless the room is so small that you physically can't go larger. There are no decent models made in that format any more, even by the major players (LG, Samsung and Panasonic are really the only brands to consider).
Go up to 43 inch and you will get a much better choice at minimal extra cost.
The trick with TV's is always to pick the previous season's model: once the new ones are released, the 'old' models are heavily discounted.
Retailers: as above, go either to RS or JL to get the extended warranties. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

How about 50" TV Hisense. Who know about this brand, can someone recommend this budget TV £379 from Currys? https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/hisense-50a7300ftuk-50-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-led-tv-10207138-pdt.htmlThanks!0
