Well, I've been a very silly boy!

I recently noticed £10 was taken out of my account, and didn't remember any transaction of such amount, so looked into it, and its from shoppers discounts and rewards, I checked further via my online bank chat, and it turns out they've been taking £10 a month since at least 2013!

I've had no communication with this company at all, and certainly don't recall signing up with them.

Is there anything I can do to get a Refund?

So what method have they been using to take the money? If you're the sort of person who never looks at their bank statements, how certain can you be that you never signed up with them 8+ years ago?

What mechanism are they using to take payment? Card or Direct Debit?

Have you changed email address etc in the last 8 years?

Not remembering signing up is a good excuse for something that happened 2 months ago but I doubt many remember what they signed up for over 8 years ago

    It's a cashback type website.
You probably clicked on a link when making a purchase from one of their affiliated retailers.

    Here's a similar recent thread:

That resulted in a refund...but the person was only 16 at the time so that may have been the reason.
You can only ask the company if they will consider a refund, although I doubt you'd get the full amount you've wasted over 8 years.

A missing £1k should convince you to start checking your financial statements on a regular basis.

I always check my direct debits, but it doesn't appear on those, its all very strange, as believe it or not, I'm very good with my money! 😂
I've obviously clicked on something that I didn't intend to, but I've had the same email so not to receive any info doesn't seem right and proper!

Like I said, I've been a very silly boy, but this company shouldn't be taking advantage of silly people imo

It should say the transaction type next to the monies coming out... if its not on your DD list then It's probably a CPA against your debit card which gives less options in terms of trying to claw back any payments via the bank

Thanks, I'm not holding out much hope tbh, but I've sent them a couple of stern emails! (I'm sure they're quaking in their boots as we speak 😂)

Just ring them. Such a dodgy company that they have a 0800 number.....

They are a good company to deal with. 👍

Around £1,000 thrown away and a £30 refund - the very definition of "happy days"

    I'm easily pleased!

The email included a form to apply for additional refunds, so I'll do that tomorrow
