Advanced Search

How can I navigate to the "Advanced Search" function with the new arrangement?
I can see the "Search the Forum" but that does not seem to allow access to the advanced search features which are helpful.
Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place?

When using the "search the forum" box, on the results page that shows next, I have a little black arrow shape in the search box on the right-hand side, clicking this arrow brings up the advanced search criteria.

That seems rather obscure and poor UI design ... why make someone do a search and only THEN give them the option for an advanced search? 🙄

A totally new Search was introduced yesterday and no, there is not an Advanced Search. It doesn't really look necessary in the new version. The new version is quite confusing and not user friendly. There is a thread going on the Compers Chat Corner board which has some suggestions as how to use the new Search and even more posts of problems being encountered. That thread has been referred to MSE and is being "considered" by them.

Oh My Goodness!!!

The search where you had to search and only then had access to any filters was somewhat illogical but, apart from needing extra key-strokes, did get you the level of filters you need and then functioned adequately.

That new search (which I only just became aware had changed again) still keeps the access illogical (search first, then get filters) and even then simply does not have the filters available.

Almost reaching the point that there is limited functionality from search as to be unusable.
