Well you’ll have plenty of places to sit if nothing else 🤣

Don’t we all have big plans on a small budget 🤣

Great that your garden furniture has arrived and that you like it. You always make me feel inadequate when I hear how quickly you get things done.  No hanging about just thinking about it for you, you got on and assembled the furniture in the blink of an eye.  Pity about the second set but you have 2 options for it (keep for later or return) so shouldn't be too much of a nuisance, apart from the unexpected cost of buying 2 sets of course.  I think  it was that cargo ship that blocked the Suez canal a few weeks ago that caused all these nightmares with delayed garden furniture.  Apparently there was a LOT of garden furniture stranded on there and many suppliers in UK were unable to fulfil orders.  I know someone who'd been planning for new garden furniture and saved up for ages to afford it.  Their old stuff went to the tip in readiness of the original expected delivery date as the swing sofa thingy had collapsed anyway!  Their new items still haven't arrived and they've decided they don't really need it after all as their garden isn't very big. unlike yours,  and looks so much better without any.  They've been managing with a couple of folding, padded recliners that we never used and passed on to them (originally given to us by someone who's ALWAYS upgrading/keeping up with the Joneses LOL) and think they'll stick with them for this year at least and try to cancel their order.  Your cancelling experience doesn't sound too good though so I hope they aren't too late to stop dispatch from the supplier.

Happy 'release' day when it comes.  Can't be much longer now xx
Release date is midnight tonight. I shall participate in dancing in the front garden naked. The poor neighbours. I have been allowed out all week but obviously couldn't because of DD. I will be so happy tomorrow as we are now desperately low on some of our normal foods. I have no cereal left for example. We have other options but just know I need a few more bits this week as normally she has breakfast at the childminders.

Sorry I make you feel so inadequate. That is never my intention to anyone reading this. When something arrives there is only me to look to to get it done and if I am honest I absolutely hate building furniture so would rather get it done then sit around and wait for it to get done.

I heard about the garden furniture and there are more and more suppliers able to now get more in. I have pretty much nothing in the conservatory now so the temptation to keep it is there. x

Glad to hear the isolation is over tomorrow for you and you can get out out.  The garden furniture option of just having it or returning it is good , I am sure you will keep it.

Not long left now to school holidays 12 school days for my grandchildren.

Fidelia I guess parkyp lives in Scotland or Northern Ireland there schools finish in June , I may be wrong.

Your decluttering is going well, I hope the sale things all get picked up and you make a few £ in the process . The weather has turned now but at least it's warm .
    Have a lovely weekend .

Yeh we’re in Scotland, They go back 16th August. We’ve always been earlier not sure why, I remember my school days early morning tv was still the news programs until Schools in England broke up and then we got the kids shows. I used to like tv show Why Don’t you, so had to video it when I returned to school and watch when got home. Oh god that seems like a lifetime ago now 🤣🤣 - setting the video recorder 🤣🤣

    I remember setting that.
I was about to post that I thought you might be in Scotland. I know Ireland finish earlier as well. I wonder why that happened. I am sure there will be some reason from long ago that was forgotten.

I also remember having to tape songs on the radio! Sat there pressing record and pause when they were speaking. I think record was always the play and record button together!

Well done to you and your daughter for parents evening. Such lovely comments from her teacher.

Southern Ireland have 3 months summer holidays. My sister used to be almost crying at the start of them (4 unruly children). They also have to provide all school stuff themselves which includes text books. It costs a lot of money.....

    Morning Cranky,
Three months is a long time off. That is really difficult if you have four children. I can imagine paying for all the text books would be difficult with four as well. DD's clubs alone are expensive so I am not sure if I could do 4 lots of that. x
