Three years to get debt free

Thank you again everyone. I ended the night in my new pjs watching home alone and relaxing. 

DD has a football match this morning then I’m having an afternoon of relax. I’m hoping my friend gets chance to pop in but he’s travelling today so it’s a slim chance but we’re trying to organise a quick coffee. 

Ive cleaned the windows this morning and the kitchen as it’s full of dust from the painting. Ive left the living room as the carpet is going this week and that will add to it. 

Just waiting on the carpet guy and then I’m sorted. The living room is looking so much more modern and on a small budget too.

Today has been lovely too. DD’s team won today and this afternoon has been a nice relax. We played a board game and I’m enjoying a cream liquor watching TV. 

I’ve successfully applied for a £130 bank account switch. I’ve hit the majority of the criteria but just need to change one direct debit. That £130 will be paid before Christmas if I set it up, which I plan to do.

I’ve got some plans next week. I’ve even got a Christmas shopping day planned with my sister including lunch out. It’s a mixture of time with DD, some tutoring and sitting house. 

My friend 😉 is at his house in Spain. We will hopefully catch up at the weekend when he’s home. He’s in London now catching his flight in the morning. 

Money is okay. Just the carpet to pay for. I’d like a rug and a lamp and some cushions to go with the new living room. Hopefully I can do that this week.

I do need the alarm sorting so I actually plan on doing that the first week I’m off for Christmas. Slow and steady with they house is how I will keep doing it. One bit at a time.

Ha ha. 

I’ve known him a few years but during lockdown when our schools were half open we got chatting a lot more. We had the time then. That’s about 18 months we’ve been generally chatting. When I trapped a nerve last October he helped release it. We’ve spent since then talking. We both share similar interests and spend a lot of time talking about things we both like.

Morning, 

I have a few bits to do this morning and then hopefully the carpet man will call this afternoon. DD wants to see if the blackberries have all gone so we will be going to do that. Hoping to do some playing of board games with her. She has been wanting to play Cluedo with me for a while and we have the junior version but she hasn't played the big version yet. I will see if I can find it and we can play that. 

Money is still okay. The new carpet will mostly come out of the birthday money I have. 

The childcare money came out and I got the top up too. It was more than I thought (top up) so I have a little extra in there this month but that won't be a bad thing long term. I could build it up and then once a year at Christmas have a month off childcare and that will pay for my Christmas shopping. I used to do that with the joint account when I was with my ex. We would pay a little extra each every month and then at Christmas time have a month off to buy presents. That was a different era though. When I was only paying half the bills

I have started to see a difference though in outgoings. I have lowered a fair bit over the last few months. A few hundred pounds which will help clear that loan. I can't remember what my goals were in January from my old diary. I am hoping that I have hit some of them though. 

This year has been another interesting one. I am making progress towards my goals and I hope that I can keep this up.

Morning, 

Not sure if I said that I had sold the sofa in place of another one. It is being picked up today and the new one should be here tomorrow. Still waiting for carpet quote to come through. He has said he will do it this week so that should be another thing done. 

Money is fine, sofa money has come in and the other sofa has been sorted out already. It is just the carpet money but I have money put aside for that. 

I'm tutoring this morning and then going out for the afternoon with DD and my sister and nephew. The rabbits will be cleaned out first and also the sofa picked up. Trying to cram everything into one week is hard work!
