Evening everyone,

Good day today. We found a lovely place about 20 minutes drive away and DD and nephew loved it. It had so much for them to do. Lots when they are older but bits when they are now. We will absolutely be booking in again.

we have plans every day of the week now as we wanted to make sure there was enough to do. The difficulty is it all costs a lot but I’m not overpaying the full amount. I’ve overpaid another £100 today so that is £139 over payment this month.

Anyone wanting to join the decluttering has till Saturday to rid themselves of 5 items this week. Feel free to join in if you want to. It’s just 5 things. Any 5 things. Either list them for sale or just get rid of them!

We’ve just sat down relaxing now. Early start in the morning.

I like the challenge- 

Charity bag (Technically not left the house yet  but not cluttering my cupboards)
1 duvet cover
1 single mattress protector (obviously Bought years ago and never used as son doesn’t have single bed anymore) 
1 bag
1 lamp
trio of small vases
1 full bag of clothes

bin
2 duvet sets
1 spray mop - head broken ( I did buy a flash one to replace it- but don’t waste your money on money of them - pads and cleanser expensive. 

I could have more for bin but only gets emptied every 3 weeks now so have to limit. I do have some others stuff so if I have space I will squeeze in, if not will put in when emptied.

Nice to hear you are all having a lovely time. Sometimes you have to spend to get to enjoy activities. Enjoy your day x

Morning everyone, 

We had a full day out yesterday so ended the day tired and in bed at a reasonable time! We went on a few rides and spent the day in a forest doing lots of activities. DD had a lovely day. 

Today we have one activity booked this morning and I have a couple of things I need to do in the town centre. DD and my nephew want to go to a shop to buy something so they’re more than happy I’m going into town!

It’s just nice to get away and do something different. A change of scenery and time to relax and chill out. DD loves it  and it’s time for her to just properly have fun too. X

It sounds like the perfect break for all 4 of you and it's lovely that you are all having such a great time.  Are your DD and nephew similar in age?  I had brothers and a sister so was never short of companionship at home and on family holidays but I had a cousin who was an only child and my aunt and uncle used to like me to spend time with them (they lived about 100 miles from my own home) during school holidays as company for their daughter.  It was fine by me, they took me to some interesting places and weren't short of money either. When we were really young it was fun but my cousin, Margaret, is 5 years older than me and once she approached her teens ( like she was 12 and at Grammar School and I was still only 7) the age gap showed and we didn't have much in common any more really.  She seemed so 'grown up' and I don't think she wanted a little kid tagging along all the time!
