I think with Vinted it's better for clothes and smaller items that aren't going to necessarily make much but are still in good condition. I've noticed that people want to pay as little as possible on there compared to the "well known auction site" 😂. I have bought jackets and coats for the kids where the seller has only made £2/3 per item and have sold an old jacket of DS's for £2.
So it's not going to make anyone rich but I like it more for the reusing of items, I know my kids don't often get the wear out of so many of their clothes. I'm happy to sell a jacket for £2 if I know it's going to be used. I have also given so much of their clothes away that I don't feel bad for trying to make a small amount back now, the stuff that doesn't sell is given to charity anyway.
I agree with people messaging and time wasting when you're selling things, I had a lot of that when I sold my first lot of cloth nappies on social media. I was on a few nappy buying/selling groups but got so many messages asking about items then people never replying or not wanting to pay the amount I asked for.
I did sell them all in the end but it was infuriating answering all the people who then decided they didn't want the item after all and/or never replied. I just started replying to people but would sell to the first person who was serious and sent the money rather than reserving or waiting for the first person who responded to get back to me.
My DH uses the "well known auction site" for the tech stuff and higher value items
he sells but just waits for the offers on the fees, I think the most recent was max £2 selling fees or something like that.
I never seem to get those offers and have paid some ridiculous fees this last month, but it’s helped pay my credit card so it is how it is.I’ve had a lot of those time people too. It’s frustrating xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

This morning hasn’t gone to plan (when does it ever!)
Got an offer on a selling item and accepted it so packaged and went to the post office to send it. I’m dog sitting my sister’s dog as he’s injured his leg and can’t go to his normal doggy day care because he needs rest and won’t be able to there with all the other dogs.
I’ve paid my dad the money I owe him from his sales and paid a few of my natural bills that I pay like the childminder.Ive done one lot of washing and I’ll be doing my bedding in a minute. I’m happy that the set I sold today has gone. That’s 5 items out the door.On the way I got fuel and dropped the clothing bag from DD’s clothes at the Salvation Army drop off. There was a winter coat in there so hoping that gets some use.I now have an empty shelf in the cupboard under the stairs. It’ll get filled, these things always do!No bid on the boot sale things. That’s the one I want to go as there’s so many items and so much space will be created.I’m away next week. I’m going to wales with DD and my sister and nephew. It will be lovely just to get time away for a few days. Another reason I’m wanting the items to get offers so I can package them all up and send them before I go and then let the money filter into my account over the week.
Have a lovely day everyone. Sure I’ll be on later updating xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Really sorry to hear about your family member's diagnosis. It's such a cruel disease. Sending my best wishes to you all xxx
Not sure when you leave for your holiday but in case I don't catch you before you go I hope you all have a lovely time and the weather is kind to you.
Thanks too for all the Vinted comments. From what people have said it doesn't look as if it would be worthwhile for me. When I can actually get myself into gear to photograph things and list on eBay (I'm so lazy in that regard compared to you, Willow!) I'll try to sell on there. I think the reason you don't get many reduced selling fee offers from them, Willow, is because you use the site regularly anyway. I suspect they do it to entice lapsed sellers back into the fold!New Challenge: Tilly Tidy as much as possible in 2022. Running total to 26 Feb: £183.77

Busy day today. It was a football fun day thing with DD and she loved it. It was only supposed to be a few hours and we were there from 9am-4.30pm. It was good though and DD enjoyed it.I had rounded down my bank account to pay off the loan. I’ll keep doing that this month and any extra sales will go off the loan too.I have the opportunity to put my bike on my 0% credit card and pay that off. It’s 0% for another 12 months so makes total sense to do that rather than pay the 6.9% apr. I haven’t done it yet but think I will. I’m just mulling over the options in my head in case there’s something I’ve missed. I know then the CC will be a focus because I do hate having money on it but I’ll need to balance it out with the loan as well. Slow and steady wins the race as they say.
I am going to over pay every month. I’m just going to see how each month is before I commit to an amount.Selling is ok. 11 of my items listed and only 1 with a bid. I’ve had offers on several items but not how much I’d accept so I'm waiting it out.
nothing on the boot sale stuff!XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

it makes sense but I’m worried I’ve missed something obvious. There’s no balance transfer fee so that’s all good xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
