Without sounding like your ` Mummy` ( I`m old enough to be !)please keep in the foremost of your mind how well you`re looking after your daughter.  That`s immense. My ex left me with everything to sort out and only paid for the children for two months. I have made more mistakes than I`ve had hot dinners and would have loved to have had a site like MSE where everyone is plainly supportive and kind.

We`ll never meet as a group but it is so lovely to have somewhere where it feels safe to rant and know someone somewhere has been through the same thing..

Let your ex know that you are happy to discuss matters relating to your child but everything else is strictly off limits! x
    Thanks Jan,

I sometimes forget I’m doing that! He does pay, I can’t say he doesn’t but it doesn’t cover much when it comes down to everything x

    Evening everyone,

A few items have sold tonight. Mostly my dads but a couple of mine. It’s all money in the pot anyway. Got lots ending over the week so hopefully another loan payment will be made.

I’ve had some lovely chocolate tonight and a beer 🍺 just the one.

I had plans with DD tomorrow but my car has a warning light (tyres) and DD is exhausted after the weekend and the sports she did today! They’ve been postponed till the end of the month instead.

Have a lovely evening everyone x

    Morning everyone,
I need to go to the post office this morning to post the eBay sales that have sold. There’s four items. Two belong to my dad. I’m waiting on payment on one item though so hopefully that will come today and I’ll nip back later to pop it in.

Like Parky has said, every little helps and I’m sure it will all this little bits of cash going in. I’ll owe my dad for some. The loft clear out has been good as a few items now have bids on them so they’ll go. That will hopefully give me the room I need to start to sort more out up there and pay extra off the loan.

The loan still feels quite overwhelming because it’s still so high but I know This is temporary. I keep having to tell myself that anyway otherwise I’d keep thinking what’s the point.

Have a good day everyone x

Oh, and I’ve made a bit of a decision.
I always buy for my ex’s family including the children’s birthdays as if from DD. It costs around £50 a year (up until last year, I used to buy his parents presents from DD too). There’s a birthday in a couple of weeks, but after this, I’m not going to be doing it. I buy all my family presents and sort of think why should I still be responsible for his. I know he hasn’t ever sent a separate card which I don’t think is fair so I’ve decided to save myself the money every year and let him take up the responsibility.

I used to do this too would even buy them the school pictures of the kids yet it was never appreciated and I stopped.  That’s his responsibility not Mine when he made it perfectly clear that his family were no longer my family and that included our kids xx

Hi Willowtree I have been sending my Ebay parcels via RM collection service from the door.  It is usually 72p a parcel but currently RM are charging 30p until around September 26th..  I use that service for the bulky parcels and everything else I put in their large collection boxes - you can google to see where yours is.  It saves so much time not queuing in the Post Office.  My postie is so used to it now- I leave them in the porch and they text you when it is picked up..

Thanks Abha, I do feel guilty but when her school picture came through he didn’t take a leaflet to buy any so don’t think I should be doing all that either. I stopped with presents last year but continued with cards. After this Christmas I will stop with them too. X

    Thanks Jan,

there’s actually none of these near me. I could have them collected but I don’t mind the post office. There wasn’t any one in today so I was really quick! X
