    Thanks both.

It is hard to get a decent picture of the cellophane and bow. I have three of these, all individual to the teachers.

I would have made these anyway, so it is nice to be able to use what I do as a way to gather pictures to promote myself.

Unexpected day off today as my tutee is poorly. Took my cousin to the big shopping centre for a coffee. We haven't been able to do it since I have been working again. It is the anniversary of his sister's death tomorrow. Two years has gone so quickly. She was 55 and died within four months of diagnosis. It was her mum that passed five months later, so my cousin struggles losing the last two closest family members. We have a family meal planned soon though, which will be nice for him.

DD is on her school trip and not returning until after tea. That's left me with an unusually long day!

Her school have said they can wear PE kit for the rest of the week so I got rid of her school uniform. Her school have chosen this year to change uniform, which will be another £500 to spend for the new blazers etc.

Had the most amazing evening celebrating DD.

She won an award at school and whilst there, her teacher sneakily told me she has won another tomorrow. Then multiple teachers approached me asking to have a quick word and talked about how incredible her scores were in her end of year tests. I don't like to compare her to others but they were saying top in her year group in some cases, I am just proud she is working so hard. It wouldn't matter to me if she was bottom as long as she tried and I could not ask for more from her.

I recognise resilience and effort and she has been trying so hard.

The teachers loved the gifts as well. They came over and thanked me. They also made me tear up because they acknowledged the level of support I give and that DD mentions me and what I do for her. That makes everything worthwhile. One of the biggest things I am proud of is that they say how kind she is and thoughtful.

Dd is exhausted though. She was at a funfair yesterday as a reward and bowling, golf and food out today as another reward. We have a late club tonight as well.

Money is ok. I have definitely cut back on spending and that is good. Just navigating the new pay system and moving things around.

Had some good news about an investment I made a few years ago. It has been published in newspapers an articles as groundbreaking in cancer detection. It has under gone some trials. I have shares in it so hoping this really does hit the big time. I invested at the earliest stage.

Took DD to the grave today to place a memorial stone we had bought. I don't do graves usually, but DD seems to prefer having somewhere to specifically go, so going to support how she grieves.

Work all week for me now.

Tale care everyone, especially near those fires. I can smell one and have ash in my garden in the mornings. Such am awful thing.

    Thank you.

Just reading her end of year tests.

It asks ' describe your favourite person using two adjectives'

    She wrote

My mum is sympathetic and powerful.

Absolutely broke me. No wonder the teacher came to tell me she talks about me.

    Thank you,

I have been trying to show her that you can be independent and successful on your own. That you can build on yourself and be powerful without being aggressive or forceful. I want her to have skills that means she can survive the world by herself if she needs to. I know she sees it every day with how I manage work and the house and her clubs and supporting her, but didn't realise she viewed me as powerful. I know she realises I am independent but it was that which made me tear up.

In money news, majority of bills are now out so need to manage to the end of the month!

Holidays are always harder to keep spending low.
