  • I was wondering about doing this too, putting it on a CC my loan is 4422 at the moment, I wanted it to be down to the 3s by Jan. But after CC splurge I don't have money without using the savings. So the loan will be my first focus for 2023. I am not sure I can be faffed to move it, hally fax let you over pay really easily.

How are doing today? with your back?

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • That’s who I am with Buffy, so that helps when overpaying.
back is okay today. Seems to be a good day. It is hit and miss though x

  • Got some Christmas cards today. One from the relative who is poorly. It contained some money and a note to buy DD and myself something from her. 😢 I’ve chosen something for us both to remember her by. X

It’s a little early but I’m thinking of ways to make next years money go further.

I need to go back to the click and collect. Shopping has gone ridiculous when I am
    in the store.

I’m still buying bulk for the most expensive things so that is helping.

My energy usage is down, but like everyone the price is up.

I’ve just had the contract for one of the summer jobs I do. It’s not happened the last few years because of Covid so I am happy that this is going ahead again. It’ll be another few hundred pounds. Last years money paid for the long burner. This year will be a holiday and then savings.

  • What a snowy morning. It’s beautiful to look at but driving DD to her clubs this morning wasn’t great.

Thinking about next year and what I have coming up.
My phone is due up for renewal early on and I’ve promised DD she can have mine and I get a new one. I’m not sure what to get. It won’t be an expensive one, I’m happy with the lesser models as long as it does what I need.

I’m returning to work next Thursday to see how I feel. They’ve organised a big meeting in January to talk about things. My union are involved and are supporting me. They will also be present at the meeting. My Dr review will be before I return in January.

I’m studying a lot at the minute and that is helping keep My mind active.

I’ve got two goals next year.
    Have 10k in savings.
    pay of the 6.5k loan.

That’s a lot to try and do, but no point not reaching for the sky.

As a friend of mine always says "Reach for the sky and you'll land amongst the stars"!  So good luck with your goals for next year.

Thank you Joedenise. I hope I land amongst something soft this year! X

Just tried to work out my extra pay for this month but it seems to good to be true so I’ll wait until I receive my payslip.

We got an annual increment in September but it never makes it into our payslips until December and then is back dated from September. I always treat it as a little Christmas bonus even though it’s not. I hope it is what I think. If it is, I plan on paying off some of the CC, giving DD a little treat, and then getting myself a treat in the sales.

I’m really tired today. Not sure why more than usual. DD is out with her dad. We went to a party last night but we were home before 9.30pm and in bed straight after. I think an early night might be in order!

  • This month has gone so fast.
I went back to work last week for a couple of days and will see how I am when I go back in January.

Money came in but the money from my ex hasn’t arrived. It’s left his account but not arrived in mine. He is going to check with the bank where it is. I hope it makes it as I rely on it to pay childcare and half of DD’s clubs. It’ll mean moving money to cover it.

I’ve almost finished shopping wise. I just need to withdraw some cash for a couple of people.

Hoping everyone else is okay? X
