I’ve not really done a proper money update in a while. Part of that is guilt. I know so many are struggling.
I’ve got over £5000 in savings currently. I’m trying to now build on this. Every month I’m trying to put more and more away. My job is uncertain, I’ve had another injury and that’s not in my favour. On a plus note, the big ‘O’ seemed to like everything I did and they looked into me a lot over a range of things I do.
The guy I’ve been seeing for the past 2 years has now moved to my work. It’s strange working alongside but we’re on different areas so during the day we have little contact. Our relationship is different to the conventions but it works for us. I think it’s the first time I’ve talked about him in here but after almost 2 years I guess it’s ok to say it here now. He came round when my family were here and it’s the second time they’ve met him. They understand that we’re closed off and very much separate but together. It’s hard to explain but we’re both happy with what we have.He could very easily buy me anything I want In the world, but his time is the only thing I ever ask. He finds it amusing when my birthday gift list says ‘hug’ and I’ve stopped him from buying me gifts in the thousands. I value time more than anything because of my Illnesses and he’s never met anyone like me so satisfied with a hug.Money is okay. I’ve done the initial saving.
Birthday weekend has been incredible. I shared it with everyone I cared about. My family laughed when I insisted the dogs came too. I love animals and would have had my mums dog at my wedding if I was allowed. They came to my mine for my birthday as well as my family and BF.I shared my evening with my friends and colleagues. I feel like everyone who wanted to be was involved.Tonight is about me and relaxing.
Thank you for all your birthday messages. I also agree with the comment that my 40s might just be the start of something special xxSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
