If he didn't have £12 to lend him, how will he afford to feed him, pay his bus fare to see him etc?

It's not for you to have to pay for these things.
  • I’ve made the CMS claim. He’s spoken to them and now I need to login to report a change as our agreement has changed since I made the claim.

He will have had 6 nights in June after tonight and July will be 10 nights if he sticks to the new arrangement.

How do I report this to CMS? What do I use? 6? 10? An average?

He’s already said he can’t afford to pay maintenance as it will leave him with nothing. Ultimately it’s not my problem. While I don’t want to leave him skint, he has to pay for his child and if that means cutting back on his hobbies and other spending then so be it.

What did you tell them originally? I would personally try and work out the nights for each month for a year and then divide that by 12 to work out the average. If it changes drastically after a couple of months i would then call the CMS and report a change.

  • When I made the claim I told them there was no arrangement in place as he had already failed to uphold the arrangement he proposed.

So I’ll use 11 months at 10 night each plus the 6 he’s had this month.
