I've been with Eon for my FiT payments since 2010. I submit my generation reading on the last day of the quarter and receive the money in my bank account within two weeks so I don't understand what the OP has been told.
Those of us who have been moved across from nPower are experiencing delays in our first payments. Hopefully these delays are a one-off and second, third etc. payments will be more timely.
(I submitted my generation meter reading on the 24th and have yet to be paid. I'm not worried yet.)
A quick update: I received my FIT payment - my first since joining E.On Next from nPower - yesterday, by BACS transfer.

Thanks for the updates and email address - I've made a note and I'll get in touch, so expect it'll be sorted soon. I'll have a nice wedge when I do get the payment (every cloud) :-)

SSE state the FIT will be paid within the quarter but always pay within 10 days or so
I’m with SSE as well for our FIT payments. A few issues getting our first payment after transfer of ownership. I’ve now submitted our reading online for end of June and got a statement through in the post a week ago but still no payment. In total, we are now a month down the line from reading submission. Can I ask you in your experience with them, how long do you find it takes them to pay from date of statement? Thanks

Just checked and it’s been longer than usual, submitted readings on the 7th July and nothing as yet.  I’ll update when it comes in.
There was a delay once and when I chased them they said it was because the reading was ‘out of tolerance’ however it magically appeared a couple of days later.

thanks- useful to know Tim. Slight thread hijack but for the benefit of the OP I've found it far from smooth sailing with SSE with these payments and having to proactively chase to be told there was some issue with payment that they were never going to contact you about (and why would they I guess when they are giving you money)- so much of a muchness when it comes to suppliers perhaps...

I've been with npower for 10 years(now Eon Next) and my payment has been made without fail within two weeks of me submitting my quarterly reading.

Out of interest did you ever receive your payment from SSE? Still waiting for ours, and will probably look at switching over to Igloo who actually supply our electric and gas
  • I have a fault with my solar panels where there is a Riso error caused by an earth fault.
I have tried contacting Eon as i was told i need their permission when making changes to the system, as i am going to need to replace some panels. Does anyone know the process.
    Thanks
