Eon Next FiT payments

I was with npower for my FIT. This is now paid by Eon Next.
I submitted my FIT reading on 31th May and received the payment from Eon Next on 21st June.0 -
Technically they won't be holding onto the £300 as they wouldn't have got the money yet from Ofgem.jasonia said:Hello, been transferred to Eon Next from nPower and have submitted my first reading to Eon Next on 1st of month. With nPower, payment was in the bank account within 10 days. Eon Next are quoting up to 4 weeks!! Can they hold onto nearly £300 in FiT payment? They claim it’s because we’ve only just come across to them! They manage to get a statement to me within a few days of the submitted reading so why not the payment soon after?
I get the feeling they are withholding the money so they get the interest. Can I do anything about this?
Thanks
FiT Licensee's put in FiT claims to Ofgem in January, April, July and October for 3 months worth of generation.
They then have to normally wait 4-5 weeks for Ofgem to receive money from the industry (energy suppliers) and then send it out to all licensees.
FiT Licensee's that don't have the capital to normally pay customers whenever have to wait for the payment from Ofgem before paying out their customers.
If you really can't wait 4 weeks from submitting a reading to receiving a payment, then look to change to a FiT licensee who will... or.... dont' rely on FiT payments as a means of income to pay bills etc. As if anything goes wrong with your PV system, you're screwed.0 -
Nothing official but considering they're moving all their existing energy accounts over to the EON Next platform, I think it's highly unlikely they'd keep two separate FIT account databases running.The_Green_Hornet said:
Have you got a link to confirm that EON are moving their FIT accounts to EON Next as it is the first I have heard of it?stewie_griffin said:EON isn't the same as EON Next. They use a completely different system hence the delays. Anyone who has a FIT account with EON will be moved to EON Next so expect a delay when that happens.0 -
According to this press release they aim to move EON residential and commercial customers onto their new platform from 2021.stewie_griffin said:

Did you guys get a prompt to submit to EON Next? I was with NPower and forgot to put the reading in for the last quarter that they asked me for (done it a few times where I claimed 6 or 9 months worth at a time) and I'm owed months of FIT now but I couldn't remember who to claim it from. Thanks for any help0

I submitted a reading to Eon Next 22 June, haven't received either a statement or payment yet. I don't need the cash, but the fact i have to remember to check is a bit annoying when nPower were so quick. Fingers crossed it sounds like it might just be this first one (and yes it did say it could be up to 60 days for payment when I submitted it).

I didn;t get a statement until I emailed them, but then received an apology and a statement the following day.Turtle said:I submitted a reading to Eon Next 22 June, haven't received either a statement or payment yet.
