Stamps

  • Completely Legal and easily explained. Sheets of stamps are often available at auction houses dealing in liquidations and it is fairly normal for a few sheets of stamps to be in the stationary and often if there are large amounts will be auctioned seperately.

I'm sure there are a number of other legal ways of getting large amounts of stamps at a cheap price too.

Trying to sell forged stamps on ebay is as stupid as trying to sell forged notes, not only would ebay have an opinion the serious fraud squad would be investigating any complaints.

  • But... but... they sure as hell don't look like sheets to me.

And why wouldn't they have any glue on them if they were legit?

    None of the above.

    All kiloware sorts - http://stamps.search.ebay.co.uk/kiloware_Great-Britain_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR40QQsacatZ3499

You know all those stamps that you donate for guide dogs to the blind etc? This is the end product. Somebody has just gone through and sorted them normally as part of a work-from-home scheme) to find the unfranked stamps, which is also why they have no gum.

Damn right they're illegal. My family have been saving stamps for as long as I can remember. Even when I was 5 and taking them into primary school, I knew they shouldn't be reused. So I'm a bit shocked if that's the sole destination of stamps given to charity.

As ever you need to read the full description

This from the second of your links

In order to avoid scrutiny from Royal Mail or to mislead the buyer, I am advised by Royal Mail to clearly describe this type of Postage Stamp as invalid for postage

They are NOT illegal, re-using them for postage is but the trade in second hand stamps is not.
