you have to find out where the charge is from and an elusive vendor could make things very difficult .. once the charge has been removed either before or after the sale and proceeds passed on then it's the same as any other transaction.  A lot of people have charges put on their properties so no real problem on that score

Good luck working this one out.

Do you really think that you are the only cash buyer around?
Are you thinking there is another reason for the house not to be sold?

Are you thinking something else is wrong with the house that makes it hard to sell?

I've been assuming the estate agent would have the owner's adress or at least a way to contact the owner. The benificiary of the charge can't order the house to be sold or can he?

Is this an order for sale then? It doesn't say specifically

(Feb 2020) The land is subject to the rights declared by Orders of County Court dated August 2018 and 2019 under Claim Number Xxxxx in an action between  Claimant and Defendant.

No, it it's probably a charging order.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

To my knowledge they are one and the same. Wouldn't it be funny if there were imaginary estate agents as opposed to real estate agents :D

Have you rung the EA yet? In a couple of minutes you'll have the answer.
  • Why didn't you bother to enquire about the house when it was on the market? Why are you only interested now that it's no longer for sale?
