VGA to VGA would have needed another cable so it was the existing VGA to single link DVI-D cable that was used and that might be supporting the maximum 1920x1080 resolution of the monitor.0

VGA supports Full HD at 60Hz. Even VGA to VGA.0 -

I just need better eyesight!To acomplish that ypu would change the scaling in the same screen you changed the resolution, rather that the resolution its self. Though depending on the app it might end up tyhe same size, though looking much better! (I use 125% on my 4K monitor and 100% on the 2nd 1080p one, is a little low sometimes but I need like the space!).1 -
