I’m definitely not not here just haven’t had the chance to post much. School holidays seem to be very very tiring 😫

Today is the first day in I think almost 3 weeks where I’ve only had my youngest during the day! Thankfully he still sleeps good chunks so I’ve finally been able to tidy the garden as I’ve been meaning to do for weeks! And get bedding washed.

I’ll do a banking check up later this afternoon before popping out about 4oclock to grab some cardboard from a friend for sending something purchased on market place. I need to get dinner sorted and find some prawns nestled away in the freezer before that so just popped in to say hi!

I am fully back into my old pre baby habits now and generally make the gym 4 times a week (twice with my youngest in tow) and run a couple of times (very short distances) whilst my husband has both children. It really is a very precise operation as I need to make sure (both for him and my own sanity) that the children are fed (my youngest most importantly as he’s BF) and I won’t need to be called back for anything! It’s making me feel so much better and less like I’m stuck in a rut (in my own head). We’ve also potty trained the eldest this last week so less washing to do as now only 1 in nappies so I do feel like I’m getting back to myself again :)

Well done. I'm sure routines equal sanity when we are still sleep-deprived with new babies!

Well done on the exercise routines and the potty training.  Having 2 in nappies is tricky and expensive!

    Thanks both.

@Blackcats both were in reusable nappies so initially outlay was spent a little while back! But the amount of washing is insane!

Ah yes, I remember that never ending nappy washing pile.  My eldest was just about reliably out of nappies when youngest was born so whilst only one was in nappies it felt like years of nappy washing!   It's lovely seeing them drying on the washing line in the sun though.

One of my mother’s proudest moments was when the health visitor complimented her on her lovely line of nappies!!!

It's great that you got back into the routine, it does miracles for staying sane. My Mr is away this week and I can't leave the boys home alone to go for runs. The rowing machine saved me; I was not very keen spending money on it when husband suggested getting one. He's feeling very smug now knowing I'm happy to have it. 😆

Great news about the potty training!

I too have a rower it’s just on loan to a friend, it’s great in winter when I don’t want to run outside 😂

We’re doing great with the potty and I’m very proud of her too as she’s picked it up very quickly. We have done EC since she was a few months which helped.

Money wise I feel like this month is LONG! I don’t know if it’s my time away from the boards or generally this month starting our end of July as expensive as it was my daughters birthday but I’ll be ready for it to be over.
