Shower - no hot water

If Grumb could reach through the screen and replace it for you too, I'm sure he would.By the way, I understand it carries a 5-year warranty. Not sure if 'scale' is excluded, but you may wish to consider calling out the installer, assuming they supplied-and-fitted?Are you in a hard water area? Right now all you know is that it doesn't work.1

The above is exactly my unit. Am I right thinking that if soaking in limescale remover doesn't work then I should buy new cartridge?
I bought it off Amazon and a plumber installed it so I guess guarantee wouldn't work here.0 -

I bought it off Amazon and a plumber installed it so I guess guarantee wouldn't work here.A faulty/scaled-up cartridge is the most likely cause, basically 'cos there's very little else to go wrong. I ask once more - are you in a hard water area?!Obviously, tho', G&I are guessing, so whether to buy a replacement cartridge or get someone else out to have a look is your call. The shower still has a 5-year warranty, so - if it's faulty - you should be able to get it sorted. However, the labour part comes down to you, unless you pay a plumber to do it.I'd email the manufacturer and give them your symptoms - along with sight of the purchase receipt. You neffer know, they might send out a new cart.0 -
Many thanks for your suggestion about manufacturer. I will give it a go, nothing to lose.
Apologies I thought I answered already. It is hard water area.1 -
Installed during 2018 is there any warranty or guarantee ?
There may be some fault finding tips in the installation instruction pamphlet that came with the shower mixer.
Its already well mentioned the mixer valve thermostat could be faulty by scale or something else, its always prudent to check the two inlet filter washers are clear in the shower bar.
Previously when deciding either (assumed) combination boiler fault or a fault in the bar mixer, have isolated water supply to shower valve, undo the two connections, take the mixer off the wall or just pulled far enough off the inlet pipes.
Turn water back on and see if the boiler begins to heat up the water, if the boiler still does not produce hot water in the shower Further investigation is needed.
Have someone turn on the water supply while your monitoring where the disconnected water flow/spray goes. Avoiding unwanted flood.

Apologies I thought I answered already. It is hard water area.I don't think I've dealt with Bristan, but I have found that other UK shower companies have been quite superb in dealing with after-sales issues - really helpful.I think very good chance you'll get a positive - at least helpful - response.0 -
I am unable to remove screw under the cartridge Step 3. It seems to be stuck it is also at an awkward angle facing towards the wall so I can't have a proper look at it neither.
Any tips how to make it lose? Otherwise I won't be able to remove the cartridge

Do you realise that you need a correct hex/allen key for this (shown in the picture)?

I've got that I am getting this into the screw but I am unable to turn it.0
