It's suddeenly dawned on me that they're giving them away as they expect us all to race out and buy filters - at that price they've got no chance.

Thanks for that - I got one for my Mum and one for my MIL as neither know how to use the net. Was not being greedy in any way shape or form. Was just helping a couple of pensioners or should they miss out because they don't use the net?

Just got off the phone from my Mum and told her that some people not happy I got her a jug and she said if they begrudge me having one then she would rather give it up. So if you are one of those not happy that I got my Mum one, you can have it and you can have the one I managed to get for myself too - I'm with her on this one.

Was it necessary to of told your mum and foremost upset her! At the end of the day if you got more than one then yes I do think it could be percieved as being greedy, at the end of the day the more people that get more than 1, it means less for people who want one

We are close and talk about everything so yes it was natural for me to tell her when I was upset about the comments. She has always fancied having one like lots of others who tried to get one hence my getting one for her - wish I hadn't bothered now. When offers come on here I have never applied for more than one unless it's for my Mum and MIL and there are loads I don't bother applying for as I wouldn't use them. I don't take for the sake of it. And like I said earlier, I would rather go without - so 2 up for grabs. My MIL doesn't want to art with hers so that one is staying. And for the record, Mum is not uset, just disappointed that people reacted the way they did.

So if we applied that for everyone who have elderly people who we know and vunerable people then more people would miss out. I would have loved to have gotten one for my next door neighbour who is a penisoner and other family members who cant get out as much. I did not why because it puts others at a disadvantage its the height of anti social behavior on the internet.People who get more than one of a freebie harm other peoples chances a care home might have wanted to get one for use in the home a carrer might want to use one for their sick reative but missed out due to people multi hording items. And that is some generalisation some people will just get it and not use it lets face it , the jug saves money people will use it.

Who's hording - like I have said - there are 2 going - save the comments and send your address because when they have both been posted out, that is my time on MSE at an end.

There is no need to be hostile at all you simply dont seem to get peoples concerns about nabbing loads of freebies. By the very nature of you getting two others have missed out not everyone uses MSE or places like it.
