Tracking NSDs and logging spending is very enlightening. I noticed so many small but regular spends that really do add up. I also used to kid myself that I "deserved" a meal out and that spending less than £50 on it was a good achievement 🤷♀️2

I’ve made a daily cash flow sheet and it’s comforting that once direct debits have gone out or I’ve logged my (necessary) spends, the balance matches my account balance. As if I’m control 🤪Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Keep up the great work!I almost caved today and went to buy bananas for a cake, as I’ve last minute invited friends and their babies over for coffee! The my husband reminded me of the lemons we have and instead I made a dairy free lemon cake (on account I also had no butter and used oil instead!)Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Hi how is everyone’s weekend started ?
I had a social commitment yesterday and split the bill and today weekly grocery shopping. So no NSD.
hopefully tomorrow will be NSD as I want to achieve my 4 NSD per week.Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0 -
MissRikki isn't it interesting how we can change behaviours when saving money but need to create new habits. So instead of spending on bananas for a cake you used what you had. One of the amazing people on the forum calls this shopping from home and it saves a fortune! In the past I wouldn't just have bought bananas I would have bought the cake and probably biscuits! I once spent £30 on a rainbow cake from a posh supermarket - I literally bought a whole cake from the coffee shop 😱. It was a beautiful cake and very yummy but seriously .... no wonder I had no money.
loveactually - weekend is going well so far. Home made pizza for tonight's fakeaway. Even better my OH is making it!1
