Problem with new oven!

I got a brand new oven when my kitchen was replaced. After a while it started to turn itself off in the middle of cooking and the word 'stop' would appear on the display. After reading the manual, the only time 'stop' should display is when you turn on the childlock. I definitely didn't 'accidentally' turn it on as it happened multiple times. Engineer came out and 'reset' it but it kept happening. So, they replaced the oven. Now its doing it again!! So its not the oven. Could it be some sort of connection problem>?

Nothing to say it isn't the oven. It's more likely to be the oven than a faulty connection. How long ago did you purchase the oven and when was the original fault reported?0

What's the make /model of oven?0

As its obviously one of those top secret ovens where you aren't allowed to mention the manufacturer or model number to anyone else a meaningful answer may not be forthcoming.3

We get the point, but why the sarcasm?daveyjp said:As its obviously one of those top secret ovens where you aren't allowed to mention the manufacturer or model number to anyone else a meaningful answer may not be forthcoming. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Does it have a timer o it, it may be on and counting down, automatically.
.look on the dials, is there a 'hand' symbolmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Could a loose connection be the cause. Everything may be OK cooker side of the isolator switch but a loose connection the other side of the switch may cause a voltage drop enough to confuse the electronics but not enough to cut out completely.

Sorry to cause offense by not naming the oven. No secret, its a Lamona (LAM3409) built-in single fan oven.1

I've checked the timers. You can set a 'timed operation period' and 'time stop point' but when they kick in the display should say 'END' not 'Stop'. The 'Stop' should only appear when the childlock is activated!Does it have a timer o it, it may be on and counting down, automatically.

First oven was purchased last October and fault was reported after a couple of months. I thought it was something I was doing before that so just kept re-setting it. Engineer changed a part and 'reset' but it still did it (only sometimes, not with every use) so they replaced the oven a couple of months ago. After using for a couple of weeks, it did it again.theonlywayisup said:Nothing to say it isn't the oven. It's more likely to be the oven than a faulty connection. You didn't cause offence. No apology needed.Hutch100uk said:Sorry to cause offense by not naming the oven. No secret, its a Lamona (LAM3409) built-in single fan oven.
Sounds like you need the engineer again. So back to my post above ^^2
