It is like watching a car crash in slow motion. Hopefully the OP wakes up and heeds the advice before it’s too late. Although I suspect there is some element of addiction (to credit/spending/etc) involved so perhaps some help may be needed.Deleted_User said:Dandytf said:Found my answer, not possible to make any payment other than 15 pounds, in advance of next statement.
Why Next Pay allows 15 pounds is beyond me.
I'll need to set mid June reminder.
For those that took their time to post, please try offering an answer next time 😜You were offered an answer - a warning about the fact you ran up loads of credit which you couldn't manage, to the extent you ended up in a DMP. As soon as you cleared the DMP you have started doing the exact same cycle of opening up loads of credit - several credit cards (Amex, Barclaycard, Nationwide, Amazon, Post Office etc), store accounts, taken out finance for double glazing at 9.9% etc etcLooking at your post history, you're in receipt of universal credit, owe them £500, were getting WTC which was cancelled, are disabled with M.S. and only earn 18k a year, you have a mortgage but you're wasting hundreds of pounds on subs to stuff like FT for a small amount of cash back, appear to be "gambling" in the stock market.The answer is to STOP TAKING OUT CREDIT7 -
@noitsnotme
Thanks most sensible reply as yet, I think being at home often in addition to restoring credit rating after 10 full years is leading to 2021's multi credit applications.
No intention to running up unnecessarily.
Certainly enjoying being approved for these products.
Seems I've almost reached applications limit anyway as I work towards in full Zero balances as starting point.
If I sometimes pay Interest, then that's fine, not on the scale of previous years.
Thanks

You find my reply sensible but all I’ve done is echo the advice you have been given multiple times by many posters on here and have chosen to ignore. Seek some professional help is my advice but you won’t, that is clear. ‘A leopard never changes it’s spots’ is oh so apt 🤷♂️Dandytf said:@noitsnotme

And on your other thread you’re talking about upgrading your Xbox and TV. Doubtless that will be funded by further credit! Madness!!
Do your future self a favour and seek help before it’s too late....again.5 -
"Sometimes paying interest" isn't fine, it's pointless. And it shows you have the wrong attitude to credit.Dandytf said:@noitsnotme

Eventually that sometimes will turn to mostly, and then to always and you'll end up back where you were.
I know you think you won't but you will, unless you heed people's warnings.7 -
@ThisnotThat
Paying interest on large purchases is sometimes required.
Though much less often and lowest paid interest as possible.

No. It's never required.Dandytf said:@ThisnotThat

This is what people are telling you and you don't seem to heed their warnings. Your attitude to credit is fundamentally flawed if you think that paying interest is ever required. If there is ever a situation with credit where paying interest is required, don't take out that credit and pay with cash. Simple.4 -

Plenty of people do, instead of paying a hefty amount of interest on a depreciating asset.Dandytf said:@ThisnotThat

I’ve bought every car I’ve ever owned in cash. Nothing unusual about that.Dandytf said:@ThisnotThat
