I went in specifically for my Victoria sponge, as it is a superior product to other supermarket equivalents. Its gone up by 20p in the last fortnight to £2.19 (but is worth it, IME). Its been a long time since I have seen a cake in the Deluxe brand reduced by 30%.

Oh No! My DH loves stollen so that will be on the shopping list. I look forward to getting my own marzipan bars from Lidl and cherry liqueurs from Aldi. The difference is that I save my treats for Christmas. He'll be eating stollen for the next 3 months +! 🤣4

I just found the Spreadable Cheese in a tub in Aldi. It's very nice (the "strong" variant, anyway). 89p/150g

Just to let you know, Batts tomato ketchup back in my local Lidl this morning. Only a few boxes though, so don't know how long it will last.2

I didn't think to look in the direction of the ketchup the other day, but now I will.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Mexican week at Lidl - lots of snacky things like beef empanadas and stuffed jalapenos. Also seem to have deep fried avocado which seems intriguing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. For anyone who is a fan of Batts salad cream which has not been in stock in my area for ages, it was back in stock in Lidls Southend Greyhound retail park this morning .1

Decided against the mexican items in Lidl as I didn't in the end think that frozen mashed avocado in crumb batter was all that appealing. I did however get some of their frozen potato items - one was the reblochon & bacon potato cakes (also had a rosemary and thyme one and also an emmental which I've had & enjoyed previously) and the other were croquette potatoes with a raclette cheese filling. Yes I do love potatoes and cheese!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
