A couple of interesting additions to the freezer cabinet in Lidl spotted earlier, £2.49 each:

YUCK!!! I'll leave both of those for you!!! And I'll wait for a raspberry ripple or butterscotch or similar!!
Good to know!! As I picked one of these up yesterday thinking we would have it last evening but it's still in the fridge unpopped!!andygb said:Brie said:Has anyone spotted any Canadian wines at Aldi?? I'll make a special trip across town for a decent Niagara white. Then again I also want some Cremant du Jura so might go anyways. It's always been a nice celebratory tipple in the past.
Lidl do a rose Cremant de Loire, which we both think is better than some cheap Champagne, it is £8.99.

Aldi - wine of the week
Can anyone please advise what day the offer runs from and to?
Also do the shops put out stock each day or if popular does it all go in the first day or two?1 -
It used to run Monday to Sunday but now runs Thursday to Wednesday. Not sure why they switched the dates as it is frustratingly now when the days are busier. I shop on a Monday and it was always nice to pick some wine of the week up, but now by Monday it's empty.lucky77 said:Aldi - wine of the week

Neither Aldi nor Lidl mince pies have come out well in this year's taste tests - a bit surprising, I usually like Lidl's Deluxe range. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.2 -
Maybe "cloying", I've never seen cloyee before?MouldyOldDough said:Rosa_Damascena said:Neither Aldi nor Lidl mince pies have come out well in this year's taste tests - a bit surprising, I usually like Lidl's Deluxe range.I bought 2 boxes of Lidl deluxe mince pies this morning - they are still the best available (at a reasonable price) as far as I am concerned - full of plump raisins and not to cloyee !! - is that a word "cloyee" ?1 -

As always, though, it depends on the reviewer and I’ve seen both of them recommended. I’ve more or less given up on all these taste tests now though because they all say different things. I suspect money is changing hands surreptitiously.Rosa_Damascena said:Neither Aldi nor Lidl mince pies have come out well in this year's taste tests - a bit surprising, I usually like Lidl's Deluxe range.4 -
I’ve had Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl finest/deluxe - my favourites being the Lidl ones. I have a box of the Aldi top range in the cupboard to try.2
