Your post is definitely missing price and model information; including as to whether you availed yourself of the 10% first time customer discount.katglasgow said:Hi I have come back to the thread just to update that I bought a Dell Inspiron from the Dell Outlet and am really delighted with it. Nice; sounds like you did everything the money saving way. The one indicated on the first page of the thread? The 5402? There is only that one, the 5405 and the 5415 in the reckoning. Scratch & Dent or Certified Refurbished? Condition?katglasgow said:It was the Dell Inspiron 14 5000 model cannot remember price now but it is on their website and yes I got the 10% discount! Yes it was the 5402 I can't remember if it was scratch and dent and it doesn't say in the receipt or order confirmation but it looks great anyway. It's a great laptop and compares well to performance of my very expensive work laptop I also really like the extra 0.5 inch on the screen size. Cost of laptop with extra 2 year service less 10% discount was 555. Quidco cashback is 2.5%.Me debt free thanks to MSE :T1

Erm...extra half inch on the screen size? How can that be? Only the 14 7400(would have been my choice, but then no extended warranty within budget) has an extra half inch.katglasgow said:Yes it was the 5402 I can't remember if it was scratch and dent and it doesn't say in the receipt or order confirmation but it looks great anyway. You stated that your work laptop had a 14" screen. So where does the extra half inch come into it?0 -
Extra half inch remains a mystery. Could she have been comparing with the 13.3" screen of the HP suggested by someone before. But then that's an extra 0.7", not half an inch.OnlyTheBestWillDo said:

My work. Laptop is just a little under 14 inches. (HP). I have no desire to go and fetch a ruler so whether it is 13.3 or 13. 5 I really couldn't say.Me debt free thanks to MSE :T1

This is how come we are left scratching our heads.

Anyway, you don't need a ruler to find out screen size. If you have model number, a quick internet search would reveal it.0 -
How long for the quidco Cashback to come through? Did purchase track automatically or did you have to raise a claim?katglasgow said:Yes it was the 5402 I can't remember if it was scratch and dent and it doesn't say in the receipt or order confirmation but it looks great anyway.
