One DDJ has already been called out in an appeal case because he drew too many inferences and overstepped the mark in allowing extraneous issues to cloud his judgment. I'd just concentrate on beating them, and if Road Chef are on the case, there's a good chance that this will go nowhere near any member of the judiciary.ahillslegal said:It can be used as evidence of their conduct! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I would hope they would be sensible and just get this written off. I have enough evidence as it is for my own situation to slap them with, without this being necessary but it’s always good to have extras in the “back pocket” just in case 😉0

Just out of interest who is the Roadchef CEO you emailed?
Most people on here , myself included, have been getting them cancelled by Luke Gross who is the Commercial Manager but it would be useful to have the CEO email address as well.3 -
I emailed Mark Fox (mark.fox@roadchef.com)

Welcome to the coal face. We're a long way from the Masters corridor, but it's educational.

Playing on here, I continue to find it bizarre that bulk claims can be issued for C. £30 each by commercial entities but litigants in person are expected to find nearly 10x that to apply for a strike out or to set aside an erroneous judgment.
A shame you can't claim usual city/IM rates on the SCT. I'd have loved to stick in my professional rate.7 -
The newbies is very clear on how to deal with DCAs, have you not read them? Have you complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
