You need to keep DCB Limited busy so they don't pass this over (or delay them in doing so for as long as possible) to DCB Legal. The finishing line might be a little nearer than you perhaps imagine. What is the actual date of the alleged parking event, please? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The alleged date is 17.01.16. The letter I received wasn’t a formal letter of claim and I’d have 30 days to respond to that before they can issue court proceedings - so if I drag things out then they will be out of time!

January 2022 , so next year , is the expiry date, hence why they have started now, better get your complaint in to Roadchef for cancellation asap (because an LBC and court claim will follow before next January)

Just sent it ! Explained that I can prove I was nowhere near the premises at the time and that this was issued incorrectly so hopefully they will cancel it.
If they decide to pursue this, on their heads be it! (I am a qualified Solicitor and will destroy them at Court if they decide to pursue this!!!)2 -

Dragging this out for around 6-7 months will be a tall order. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The letter I received says I have 14 days to either pay or discuss repayment. I’ve called them and told them I am not paying and have written to them to request disclosure of all the so called evidence that they have2

I suspect as a solicitor, you will get them spanked. Tip is that DCBL act on any old instructions and don't have a clue. Then there is the statement of truth which of late has been signed by a Yasmin Mia ..... trouble is IT'S NOT TRUE and I'm certain you will know how to handle contempt in a court
Hopefully RoadChef will cancel ... they must be getting fed up with complaints about CCP2 -
I was actually on my way to France at the time and I have evidence of this on my bank statements (including from the Eurotunnel!) . I have seen literally hundreds of accounts online of fraudulently issued fines and this will certainly be used against them if they decide to pursue it!1

If this gets to a court case, then any Judge will not be the slightest bit interested in that - especially if you call them "fraudulently issued fines".
The Judge will only be interested in the merits or otherwise of your case.2 -
It can be used as evidence of their conduct! I have just received a reply from the Road Chef CEO who said he’s going to look into it1
