Princeofpounds I did think about automatic at one point but I've always wanted to do manual because I know people who have automatics and bow wnat manuals but cant grasp them. My partner prefers manuals too and we do car share. He has the car 2 weeks of the month and a van for the rest due to work and I have it for 2 weeks. So i cant even use the excuse i dont have the car because even when I do have it and its sat on the drive I dont use it. I had a doctors appointment last week and thought right I'll take myself but as time went by I had MY partner take me instead which annoyed me so much because I've done that journey soooo many times. It's actually quite a good road to practice on 2 small roundabouts, not too busy.
I know I need to just get in and do it it's just me getting to the mindset and getting from here to the car.
Ditzymitzy that's some good information for me to take in thankyou you explained really well. I do remember my instructor explaining something similar but at the time I didnt quite understand what it all meant so thankyou. I know someone who passed her test many years ago she had a very small accident no one was injured and she never drove again, she said to me keep at it dont be like me that always rings in my head if I dont do this that will be me and the whole point in me driving was to take my kids out or to school when it rains or when their dad is working late we can nip and see family members without relying on him.0
