Your strategy is correct. DCB Limited are debt collectors and can be ignored - please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, to learn about debt collectors. That's not to say they won't eventually move this on to DCB Legal who will issue a formal Letter Before Claim, which then cannot be ignored as they will have started on the road to a court claim. If you receive a LBC, then read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post, which guides you through from that point to the actual court hearing, should it get that far.

Have you complained to the car park landowner and asked them to intervene to get this cancelled?
Thank you. The car park is used for several shops, some of which state they don't and won't deal with any parking charge grievances.
The shops you refer to simply hate their customers and not places to buy from.
The know the problems and that such claims by Highview will lose them business
The landowner of the car park is the place to go to get this cancelled, the landowner should be protecting the retailers against the scam.

DCBL are scamming you with fake add-ons so don't contact them, ignore them. If you get a 30 day letter before claim come back here.
In the meantime read this thread as you are not alone

Thank you, I will ignore these vermin until a letter of claim.

Ignore the debt crawlers, but don't just wait for a court claim. Follow the other advice already given so you are ready if/when a claim arrives.

Except if you think they/the parking firm still have two addresses in the database.  You must email them a rectification of address notice to erase the old address so that they only use the right address in future.  You cannot risk missing a claim form that you must defend.

Quick update. I used a template I found in the forum and emailed the site owners. The nearly 5 year old ticket has been cancelled!

Nice one 👍. Was it Savills you contacted?

I'd write to HV to tell them that you have contacted the 'site owners' who have agreed the parking charge is to be cancelled (if you have that in writing, attach a copy for HV).  Ask that HV confirm in writing the cancellation but to write to your current address at <current address>, also confirming that they have erased your former address at <former address>.

Well done, a irritating monkey off your back.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
