Always like to have an alternative bank account & credit / debit card.
Hate when a bank is having problems as customers blame US for it!0 -

People without an alternative method of payment are up the creek without a paddle.2 -

Dependence on technology being available 24/7 is truly frightening. One day when the power goes off. There'll be a complete meltdown.3

Al_Ross said:While it might be amusing to you, there will be people who another poster has pointed out can’t pay for their weekly food shop or travel to work as their debit cards aren’t working and ATM’s to withdraw cash are being hit and miss. While a few Mse’rs myself included have other accounts or alternative payment options with banks with emergency funds in for when this kind of thing happens, a large number of people do not. Meaning they have no other way of accessing their money/ paying for anything until it’s sorted.Remember the TSB fiasco when they upgraded there system and how many weeks that took to sort out and how many people were without funds until it was fixed!?!
A little compassion would be helpful, rather than the “I’m alright Jack, so it doesn’t matter or effect me). attitude!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:2 -
Opening some branches tomorrow. Is this going to be of TSB proportions ?

My parents suffered at the hands of this incompetent buch of cowboys a few weeks ago. Needless to say the are moving to First Direct. How anyone can continue to have any trust in this bank is beyond me. I feel sorry for the staff, they are being badly let down by the clowns at the top. I fully expect there to be a major news scandal about how this bank is bein run/misrun.:j0
