Santander upgrade gone wrong?

Santander's online banking and app are both unavailable this morning. "We’re working to fix the problem as soon as possible" is the message they display online, and the app merely says "Oops! Sorry, something went wrong". They had advised there would be outages from midnight to 6am for maintenance. It's now almost 09:30.

It's times like these when I am glad I have another current account with a bit of money in.

It's not good, but it's life. Things happen and they happen with all banks.

Card just worked contactless, but online and phone still AWOL.

Santander IT has been run on a wing and a prayer for a long time, this is not really surprising.

There’s a man on the news saying because of this, he’s changing banks. Erm every bank has had a tech problem every few years

^^ This is why it’s important to have a backup.

Hate when a bank is having problems as customers blame US for it!
