Really i thought you could put the tracking number into paypal and it would be sorted.

In the pass paypal have always gone on my side (the seller) As i had the tracking number.

You must have accidentally had a confirmed address and buyer protection too too then ;)

It does not matter what service you use to post to an unconfirmed address you have NO protection against a paypal reversal if you post to an unconfirmed address. The buyer could receive the item special delivery and then claim that they had not paypal would refund them because it is an unconfirmed address. I cannot believe people still do not understand this.

    Exactly!

I certainly won't post the item to her now and will just return the payment - informing her i cannot post outside the UK.

What also bugs me, is that she still managed to bid when i stated i only post within the UK!

I'm also baffled as to why she thought i'd post the jacket to her for £3?!

I'm not sure i could post a CD to Dublin for £3, let alone a heavy Leather Jacket!:rotfl:

Firstly there is no such country as Southern Ireland.

I would never send to a paypal payer if they didn't have a paypal verified address. Either get it verified or pay by other means.

Aarrgh - verified is something completely different has nothing to do with unconfirmed addresses.

I've had another look at the transaction and the address is 'unconfirmed', seller protection 'Ineligible' and it also says 'The sender of this payment is Non-US - 'Unregistered'.

All you need to look for on the tansaction details is 'inelligible' and 'unconfirmed' you only send then if you are prepared to take a chance.

I have sold many low value items to buyers with unconfirmed addresses but would not send anything of a highish value.

    Goto My Account then Preferences

Look for Selling Preferences then s.gifPayment from buyers

    Click Show

Edit Allow buyers to edit payment totals

No such word as 'Firstly', either ;)
