hhotine said:We have just applied. I think our broker put our application in on Tuesday late afternoon (1st June). Haven’t had a valuation booked or credit check done yet. Or heard anything for that matter but he has been on annual leave since. How long was it until you heard anything after application? We are also self employed (ltd company) but have already provided the tax overviews etc and our accountant has just finished our reference too. Is there anything else they will ask?
We’ve been in business for 15 years but this is the first mortgage we have applied for as self employed...who knew it would be so much more difficult than when we were employed?!
So far, our broker and Accord have been excellent to deal with...I hope and pray that I have a positive update on Monday. Good luck with your app! 😃1 -

Your broker can go in and have a look..ours has sent me screen prints so I can see them. You could always contact the estate agent to see if a valuation has been arranged although they don’t always out a site visit..ah good luck, I hope your broker returns from holiday with good news for you 😀0

Good luck with your app! 😃We got a call (we are also the acting estate agents) to book valuation on Tuesday. Valuation carried out today (Wednesday). Broker has just emailed this evening to say the valuation report has already been uploaded and is fine. Although they have put it down as a bungalow and it’s not so he’s got to flag this. He said all there is now is for them to check the accountants reference! So fingers crossed! Havent had any queries or questions yet, so I’m just wary we might still get some, I don’t know. Would be amazing to get an offer next week. The sellers want to get it through for end of June!I know it’s crazy isn’t it. Our staff wouldn’t have to provide anything yet they work for the company I have to prove is a good company for myself 🤷🏼♀️ Seems like madness to me.Thank you.0 -

Thanks for sharing your experiences in this thread. I'm also going through the process with Accord - seems to be quite quick.1

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get an accord mortgage if one of us is self employed. I’m employed and husband self employed. He took SEISS and a bounce back loan which he will pay off before mortgage. He is now trading fully again.Worried as it was submitted Wednesday and heard nothing. We are already an accord customer with our current mortgage.0
