I'm an existing customer. Do I need to take anything with me when I sign up in-store like my viewing card number or something?
You don't need to take anything to the store the sky system will find you.
Are the boxes the new PVR3 model?
Had mine installed today Amstrad white PVR3 80GB box.
Also if Sky mess up the installation or there are problems will they fix it without charging any additional fees?
Had problems after fitting calling Sky from my box, installer said because I had premium number barring. The guy was determined to sort it as he didn't get paid until it was sorted. Only problem is I have now found I have a buzzing on my phoneline when making calls. I rang Sky technie and they said if it was the Sky line then it would be fixed for free. I have unplugged phoneline for now and I am waiting until after christmas to get it fixed as it doesn't affect my viewing.
Thanks!
Hope this helps.0 -
I was supposed to be having it fitted on 22nd but got a letter yesterday and they've shifted it to the 30th .0

Yep the same's happened to me supposed to be 24th but now 31st phoned them yesterday and said i only took offer out as i wanted it before xmas no luck tho!! The lady said Pc World & Currys have been promising installation by Xmas and its just not going to happen0

Got the deal at my local Currys. Spoke to a sales rep and he said I can only get the deal with a TV. I asked him if he could sort me out anyway and he said yes :smashin:
Paid £59 and was told installation was on 5th Jan 2008 but Sky would ring to confirm.
Can I tell the installer I want him to take down the old cable because I want the double coaxial cable because I don't want to have more holes drilled?0 -
Currys in Irvine selling for £59. I went in and asked if sky+ deal was still £59. I managed to buy 2 with no problems.Regards

Don't forget folks, offer ends 24/12/07.0

how do you get a 2nd viewing card if you have bought 2?0

Well I phoned 4 or 5 currys stores in my region, (it's not easy getting the actual store numbers either) 1 superstore hadn't heard of the deal and wanted the usual £99.00 + installation, the others all insisted I buy a TV or spend the equivalent amount. I've now given up. For me personally the old adage of if a deal seems too good to be true it probably is certainly applies in this case. I've spent quite a bit of time checking this out and visiting a store personally but NO DEAL.
However good luck to all of you who seem to have been successful. The stores in the South East coastal area seem to be much meaner in this regard.0 -
Currys St Albans have Sky+ for £29 today if you buy anything else e.g. batteries.illegitimi non carborundum0

He's going to be right miffed when he gets here to install mine then. We blocked all mobile and premium rate calls after I lost all my hair screaming at my offspring when they were teenagers.
:rotfl:
I bought mine on Tuesday 18th. I was told that installation would definitely not be before Christmas even before we agreed the purchase. I was offered the 28th December and then Sky told me Jan 4th which is fine by me. At least I was warned that I could not record the 100's of repeats being offered this festive season....0
