  • Hi,

After reading other posts I see that they will install a new double coaxial cable, the hole where I have the current lead running through is quite small. Will the installer be able to remove the old one and replace it with the new one or do you still need both as I don't think they will both fit through the hole? Thanks

Had mine fitted this morning, what he did was tape the double cable to the old single cable and pulled it through the hole which was big enough.
  • Is it as thick as the old cable?

My Sky+ is being installed on 5th Jan. Should I disconnect the old Sky box before the engineer comes or will he be doing some tests with the old box before installing the new one just to check the dish is ok?

He don't need to do anything with your old box,i just unplugged it and chucked it in the loft before he came.

Hi, had mine done on Friday, they left the cable that was already there in place and just changed the 'end' bit on my dish and ran a second cable alongside the old one, and drilled a second hole in my wall to put the new cable through. Looks fine though, and they had done it all in about 20 minutes.
  • Unfortunately I missed this offer - anyone else know of anything similar?

    thanks

I purchased two of these offers from Currys, I can state that Sky customer services are appalling, do people really deal with them on a regular basis? Cheap deal though, my house out in the sticks can't receive Freeview without an expensive aerial upgrade so the Sky dish and box at £70ish is a bargain. So far, I've avoided giving Sky my bank details, I think I'll stick with the free-to-air stuff after the 4 month trial.
