Am I wasting my time claiming compensation for buying diesel?

HI. I bought a diesel peugeot about 5 yrs ago. it was a year old at the time. I'm wondering if I should claim compensation for being sold a diesel. the thing is, its environmentally friendly. so much so that I pay zero road fund license. so I dont think I have a case really. or do I?.
