Am I wasting my time claiming compensation for buying diesel?

I do wonder if all the people who are jumping on the bandwagon could be creating a problkem for themselves with the - I signed up with the No win No fee as I might get some free money. No doubt if this goes forward the manufacturers will have people trawling these sites looking for such posts - Most people had no idea about this until it was raised in the USA and simply bougfht Diesel cars for the great MPG - The fiddling of the emmisions were not an issue here in the UK so the main point of the claim fails.

cattom said:thanks for all the replies. the point of my original post was to find out if I had been mis sold a product. ie a peugeot diesel. and maybe as someone said in this thread, get some free cash. the emmisions on my car are euro6.1. which is within the latest emmisions bracket. I have now put in a claim with a 'no win no fee' company. and I will keep you updated on that, via this forum.
People like you with no moral standards are a growing problem in today's society. You don't care whether you have a case or not and are just interest in "free cash" and are happy for them to start unsubstantiated lawsuits against companies just to see what sticks.
How would you like it if someone started an unsubstantiated lawsuit against you just to try and get some "free cash" ?6 -

Not reading through the pages. Page 1 seems to sum it up.
Makes me think I should seek compensation for the coffee I ordered at the weekend. 10 million should do it.0 -
Thanks once again for all the replies, positive and negative alike. it's a free society in which we live and thank for god for that. I think on balance the answer to my thread title is a resounding 'yes'. thanks again.0
