I waited 4 weeks and called them up to enquire whether they had received my letter. I was told they received it on 21-5-2021 and it was on the list to be dealt with by the 'new' dedicated team and I would be contacted once it had been addressed...................today is 21-8-2021 and I'm still waiting.0

I noticed the following on MSE's page for this issue:
Told you can't submit a claim? Don't give up
Some have reported an automated message saying it can't help at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic and to call back another time. But there is a team working on these claims – and it's confirmed with us there is no issue, so hold the line and you will eventually get through.
So my mum phoned the number above yesterday and waited about 10 minutes to talk to someone. She asked to be put through to the department dealing with underpaid state pension and the lady she spoke to said she didn't need to forward the call as she could deal with it. My mum asked if they'd received the details that were passed onto them in April. The lady either said they hadn't been passed on or she just couldn't see them on the system.
Anyway, she took my mum's and my grandmother's details and said someone will be in touch with her to get more details. When asked how long she should wait to enquire if she doesn't hear anything, the lady said two months.
I just thought I would update in case it helps anyone still waiting for information. I must say, the lady was really nice. She didn't sound at all put out that the issue wasn't an urgent one as mentioned on the automated message.1 -
Has anyone had any joy with their claims? I wrote a letter to the Wolverhampton address in July on behalf of my Mother, she had a letter from them yesterday 20/10/21 asking for the original copy of the annulment of her marriage, so things are progressing, albeit quite slowly but as mentioned before there are a couple of hundred thousand women out there having their pensions reviewed.0

I contacted the DWP in November 2020 regarding my late mother-in-law. Lots of further letters and phone calls from me, I received a text 26.03.21 to say I'd hear from them within 12 weeks....I've given up now.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0

Update on my post of 21st Oct, my Mother received back her copy of her marriage annulment certificate in the post a couple of days ago, it came with a ‘Compliment Slip’ stating ‘We have taken a copy for our records and will be dealing with your claim’.
All is not lost yet, tens of thousands of pensioners in limbo but quite a few have received payments (see ‘dazed and confused’ link above).1 -
The checking process began on 11 January 2021 and is expected to be complete by end 2023.
