My dog often barks and runs to the door to go out at what appears to be nothing. Usually I suspect it’s a cat she’s heard. Dogs hear things we don’t. Well done on the wins 👏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Happy New Year to all and here's to a peaceful, prosperous 2024!
I can't believe it's been four months since my last post! I'm not one for making New Year's resolutions as I rarely keep them but I do intend to keep up my diary this year.
Whilst I've been off the boards I've been keeping busy - I had a wonderful holiday in Florence taking part in a historical early Renaissance tour. I've been to Florence already a few times but this was full-on and in depth. I'd already been away with this tour company earlier in the year to the Loire Valley to explore French chateaux and have already signed up for another holiday with them in March - this time for an Impressionist tour to the South of France.I'm currently at DD's place in the Highlands. I've spent Christmas and seen in the New Year here. It's been so nice and relaxing. We were due to spend New Year last night with a neighbour but her mother was poorly so we stayed in and ate picky bits and imbibed some alcohol! DD's OH and his son were very 'Old Men' and went off to bed not long after twelve, but DD and I sat up a bit longer.Today is bright and sunny here so far - we've had some appalling weather - terribly strong gales and rain. I'm just hoping the weather is good when I fly back home next Sunday!😳
